Teleportation

Quantum teleportation is a protocol that transfers an unknown quantum state from one qubit to another using shared entanglement and classical communication. Alice performs a joint measurement on the state to be teleported and her half of an entangled pair, then sends the two classical measurement results to Bob. Bob uses those results to apply a corresponding correction to his qubit, thereby recovering the original state. The original state is destroyed during Alice’s measurement, so teleportation does not copy quantum information or allow faster-than-light communication.
