Infleqtion Founder & Chief Science Officer Dr. Dana Anderson Elected to the National Academy of Engineering

Membership comes in recognition of Dr. Anderson’s contributions to optical quantum engineering of ultracold atoms

Infleqtion, a global leader in quantum sensing and quantum computing, develops atom-based quantum technology for commercial and government applications. Infleqtion is proud to announce the induction of Dr. Dana Anderson into the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) for contributions to optical quantum engineering of ultracold atoms. Infleqtion recently announced plans to go public through a merger with Churchill Capital Corp X (NASDAQ: CCCX).

“I am honored to be a member of this year’s National Academy of Engineering class,” said Dr. Dana Anderson, Founder and Chief Science Officer at Infleqtion. “Election to the NAE is one of the highest professional honors, and being recognized for my work in optical quantum engineering with ultracold atoms is deeply meaningful. Ultracold atoms let us build quantum systems with a level of control that used to be out of reach but now that control will drive the next wave of technology innovation.”

Founded in 1964, the National Academy of Engineering is a private, independent, nonprofit institution that recognizes outstanding engineering contributions in business, education, research, government, amongst other organizations. Dr. Anderson will be honored at the formal Induction Ceremony in October, which will accompany the NAE Annual Meeting.

“Dana’s election to the National Academy of Engineering is a tremendous honor and a powerful affirmation of the scientific foundation behind Infleqtion,” said Matt Kinsella, Chief Executive Officer of Infleqtion. “We’re incredibly lucky to have Dana. He’s the rare kind of founder who is also a true scientific driver committed to the potential of atoms and relentless about turning that belief into working systems. Dana’s leadership has helped move quantum technology from the lab toward reality, and this recognition is a fitting tribute to his vision and to the team bringing scalable quantum solutions into real-world use.”

In addition to this recognition, Dr. Anderson has published over 100 scientific papers as is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and of the Optical Society of America. He is also recipient of a Sloan Foundation Fellow, a Humboldt Senior Research Award, and the Colorado Governor’s CO-Labs award for the high impact research leading to the development of foundational technology and recipient of the Willie E. Lamb Award for pioneering work in the foundations of atomtronics.
